Time: 3–4 minutes
Notes: Best enjoyed without additives; multiple infusions reveal new layers of aroma and texture

GABA Oolong
Temp:
180–200°F (82–93°C)
Amount: 1 tsp (2–3g) per 8 oz (240ml) water
Time: 2–4 minutes
Notes: Excellent for multiple infusions; flavor softens and sweetens in the second steep

Sheng pu'er
Temp:
195–205°F (90–96°C)
Amount: 1 tsp (2–3g) per 8 oz (240ml) water
Time: 2–3 minutes (Western-style)
Notes: Great for multiple steeps; early infusions are resinous and sharp, later ones mellow and sweet. For Gongfu brewing, use 4–6g per 100ml with 10–20 second infusions
