What’s the tea?
GABA tea: Cold brew or steaming hot?
Tea meets you where you are. Whether you're sweating through a summer afternoon or curled up under a blanket on a rainy morning, there's a way to brew your tea to fit the moment
Some days, that means the steam rising from a hot mug, warming your hands and calming your thoughts. Other times, it means a slow, cool steep that chills you from the inside out. At 7 Sips, we honor both
So, cold brew or steaming hot?
The beautiful thing about GABA tea is that it works wonderfully either way. Each method brings out different qualities—flavors, sensations, even emotional responses. Choose based on your mood, your energy, or the season
Hot brewing GABA tea
Best for: Morning focus, evening relaxation, cooler days
What it offers: Deep, nutty flavor with warming notes of roasted chestnut and soft earth
How to do it:
Water temp: 180–200°F (just below boiling)
Tea amount: 1 tsp per 8 oz water
Steep time: 2–4 minutes (you can re-steep up to 3 times)
Pro tip: The second steep often brings a softer, sweeter flavor—perfect for winding down at the end of your day
Cold brewing GABA tea
Best for: Summer days, gentle focus, sensitive stomachs
What it offers: A smoother, naturally sweet flavor with almost no bitterness and a very low caffeine feel
How to do it:
Tea amount: 1–1.5 tsp per 8 oz cold water
Steep time: 8–12 hours in the fridge
Strain and enjoy over ice or straight from the bottle
Pro tip: Cold brew extracts less caffeine, making it ideal for evening sipping or long, slow hydration throughout the day
